About

Yeshiva Etzion opened up in 2003 by Rabbi Avraham Gaon. It offers a place for people who want to learn, to be able to learn with no questions asked. There is no application or test to join the Yeshiva. The Yeshiva is built on  the principle, if you want to learn come take a seat and learn. No one who wants to learn should be denied an opportunity to learn.

Throughout the years people of different backgrounds and ages of joined the Yeshiva. There is a flexible scheduling to allow those who work or go to school to be able to have set times for learning. The morning and evening hours, the Yeshiva learns different topics. This allows for those who can not attend both sessions to start and finish topics by committing to a morning or evening learning schedule.

The Yeshiva’s goal is to help develop Bnei Torah who are:

  • Capable of learning on their own.
  • Able to read a sefer on their own and have an understanding and analysis beyond translating the text.
  • Hands on and have practical understanding of topics, by experimenting, going on a field trip, watching documentaries, reading books, and etc…)
  • Educated beyond sefarim to understand varies topics of science, history, labor practices, philosophy and much more to broaden the outlook of students to better understand the Torah and life.
  • Last but arguably the most important thing, how to behave as a Bnei Torah to give an example to others in your every day actions and when you interact with family, friends, and everyone else we come across regardless of religion, race or gender.
